Opportunity Highlights

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Women & Infants Hospital, one of the nation's premier hospitals for women and newborns. As a member of our NICU team, you will provide exceptional care to high-risk infants and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive newborn care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of newborns with conditions related to prematurity, respiratory distress, and birth defects.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for newborns, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Conduct routine and emergency procedures, including intubation, blood drawing, UA/UV line placement, lumbar punctures, catheter and chest tube insertion, and resuscitation.
  • Provide education and support to families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their newborn's care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in neonatal or pediatric nursing, with a focus on high-risk newborn care.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
