Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Summary Preparation: Compile and assess financial and collateral data to create a comprehensive Deal Screen Summary, highlighting the strengths and risks associated with the proposed Asset-Based Loan structure.
  • Credit Approval Documentation: Synthesize company analysis, collateral assessment, and financial evaluations with third-party due diligence to draft a Credit Approval Memorandum for Senior Management, including risk assessments and recommendations.
  • Loan Management: Oversee the documentation, closing, and funding processes for new transactions, collaborating with legal teams to ensure loan agreements align with approved terms and working with Operations for account setup.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct meetings with prospective clients, either via phone or in-person, to gather insights on financial performance, industry trends, collateral specifics, and working capital cycles.
  • Financial Analysis: Review and analyze financial and collateral information to determine the feasibility of proceeding with a deal screen memo, focusing on borrowing bases, accounts receivable aging, inventory reports, and historical and projected financials.
  • Field Examination Coordination: Engage field examiners and appraisers, providing direction on examination scope and reviewing reports to identify potential collateral issues and set appropriate advance rates.
  • Project Management: Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards relevant to the role, completing necessary training and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in credit analysis within a banking or finance environment, with at least 4 years specifically in Asset-Based Lending.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Moody's Risk Analyst Spread System or similar tools, alongside strong financial and credit analysis capabilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to assess financial and collateral trends effectively.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to professional standards.
  • Physical Requirements: The role necessitates a moderate level of physical activity, including standing, sitting, walking, and occasional lifting.
