Technical Business Analyst with Java and API Expertise

Role: Technical Business Analyst with Java and API expertise
Location: Irving, TX/Hybrid
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build best-in-class systems and tools architecture that enable effective management of compliance risks and analytics-driven insights, leveraging Agile methodology.
- Create user stories in JIRA, prioritize backlog, oversee user acceptance testing and production acceptance testing.
- Assess, document, and implement process controls including data quality.
- Support control owners in implementing controls into business or functional processes.
- Perform data management activities (e.g., identification of critical data elements, business rules and data lineage).
- Prepare and review documentation for senior management, internal audit, and regulators (e.g., project closure summaries and scoping documents).
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the financial industry or related technology in a business analytics role.
- Experience in JIRA writing and user testing is required.
- Experience in internal audit processes is a plus.
- Experience in technology implementations utilizing Agile software methodology is preferred.
- Experience in data governance, background in data quality risk and control design is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- Experience with database or visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects at a time.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive, able to navigate a complex organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of seniority.
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree is a plus.
