Notes:
We are seeking a Senior or Lead level Java API Developer. Candidates with senior experience who lack lead experience may be groomed into a lead role. This position requires substantial hands-on development, along with architectural skills to provide consultation for the team. The focus will be on APIs, building microservices, and overall architecture.

We are also open to candidates with a Senior/Lead Full Stack Engineer background, possessing both UI and API skills. Collaboration with an offshore team, primarily based in India, is essential. The ideal candidate must be flexible in collaborating, setting guidelines, and providing mentorship to offshore resources.

This role will contribute to a Small Business Program aimed at making us a market leader in small business solutions. The candidate will assist in building numerous capabilities for small business customers, working on a Marketplace portal where customers can log in and shop for products tailored to their needs (e.g., software and accounting solutions, integration with financial tools, and analysis for decision-making).

Must Have:
  • Java, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, API, microservices
  • Familiarity with Apigee or other API gateways

  • Experience with Kafka (preferred but not mandatory)

Description:
  • 5+ years of experience in Java EE design and development, preferably Java 8.
  • 5+ years of experience in REST API and Spring Boot design and development.
  • Knowledge of API security risks and microservices resilience.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL implementation is a plus.
  • Experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, and test automation.
  • Proficient in agile methodologies, including SCRUM and KANBAN.
  • Experience with Apigee, Istio, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure is preferred.
  • Experience in financial application development is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to facilitate onshore/offshore development activities.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of features, user impacts, and workflows.
  • Adept at analyzing the bigger picture and prioritizing across multiple domains.
  • Solid understanding of the business model related to the current product focus area.
  • Familiar with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
  • Ability to collaborate on all aspects of product development.
  • Technically proficient in defining and fulfilling solution requirements for end users.
  • Capable of communicating processes and results to all stakeholders, including engineers, product owners, scrum masters, third-party vendors, and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
