Position Overview

We are seeking a Community Engagement and Event Coordination Specialist to support our initiatives in fostering connections within our network. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Facilitating Virtual Events: Coordinate and manage virtual breakout sessions, including scheduling, meeting setup, and RSVP management.
  • Organizing In-Person Gatherings: Collaborate with local teams to plan and execute large gatherings, including venue selection, catering arrangements, and participant communication.
  • Meeting Coordination: Assist in scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars to ensure smooth event production.
  • Community Acknowledgments: Oversee actions and recognitions related to community members' significant life moments.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update contact lists and databases across various digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in community organizing, with a passion for Jewish culture and identity. Key qualifications include:

  • Exceptional organizational and task management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in event planning.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Mailchimp, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with database management, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with self-motivation.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A genuine curiosity about Jewish traditions.

  • Strong work ethic and energy.
  • While prior experience in the Jewish sector is not mandatory, a commitment to our mission is essential.

A college degree is required for this position.
