Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist AAC Specialist

Jabbergym, a member of the Point Quest Group, is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SLP to work with students with communication disorders, providing individualized therapy sessions and developing effective communication strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in AAC and be able to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions using AAC strategies and techniques
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and implementation of treatment plans
  • Develop and maintain AAC systems, including augmentative devices and communication boards
  • Conduct regular progress monitoring and evaluation to ensure treatment effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or related field
  • Current licensure as an SLP in the state of employment
  • Experience working with students with communication disorders, particularly those with AAC needs
  • Strong knowledge of AAC strategies and techniques, including augmentative devices and communication boards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
