Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating students with speech and language disorders, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure educational benefit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' communication needs and develop treatment plans to address those needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with speech and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure that students receive a comprehensive education and make progress towards their goals.
  • Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies to support students with complex communication needs.
  • Participate in in-service education, utilization review, and team conferences to stay current on best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Current, active license as a Speech Pathologist (SLP, SLPL, SLP-CCC) or be eligible for licensure.
  • At least one year of experience in speech therapy.
  • Experience working in a school or treatment setting for students with learning or social/emotional problems.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance.
  • Working knowledge of standard business practices and procedures.
  • Computer-literate; knowledge of standard company software applications, internet.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving ability and proven accuracy with detailed information.
  • Proficient written and verbal English language communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manner.
  • Reliability, dependability, and flexibility.
