Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at SMILE STRAIGHT ORTHO in WILMINGTON. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our orthodontic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work chair-side with the Orthodontist, performing patient care and general laboratory duties.
  • Prepare and take patient molds, changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets.
  • Adjust the fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign.
  • Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Teach patients proper oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.

Requirements:

  • CDA or RDA certification required, X-RAY certification preferred.
  • No experience required, but must have DA certification.
