Job Summary:

Harmony Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Aide/CNA to join our team. As a Hospice Aide/CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and transferring.
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
  • Document patient care and observations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
  • Completion of a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to provide specialized care to the terminally ill.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured by organization requirements and is in good working order.
