Environmental Services Specialist

Job Description: As an Environmental Services Specialist at Healthcare Services Group, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our long-term care facilities. This includes performing daily housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices. You will also be responsible for ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation of all areas following established procedures and safety guidelines.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing all areas following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintaining records of cleaning activities and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
- FOLLOWING infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Interacting positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Estimated Salary: $15-$18 per hour (dependent on location and experience). Based on national averages and taking into account the cost of living in Washington, NC, we estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $30,000-$40,000. However, please note that salaries can vary depending on individual circumstances and may be higher or lower than this estimate.
