Job Title: Nurse Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Vidant Health Physicians in Washington, NC. The ideal candidate will have a BSN degree and 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ambulatory/clinic and quality roles.

In this full-time position, you will work on improving patient safety and quality outcomes by promoting a safety culture and infrastructure. You will engage stakeholders, model behaviors that promote a safety culture, educate staff, support the adoption of high reliability principles, and design sustainable actions to improve patient safety. Your expertise in analytical and statistical tools and techniques will help you identify variation and its causes, analyze input variables, and communicate improvement priorities and results using narrative and visual tools. Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.

This is a weekday position with no nights, weekends, or call. You will be based in Washington, NC, but may rotate between various clinic sites in Washington, Belhaven, and Chocowinity.

A successful candidate will be responsible for applying methods to identify and evaluate risks for harm, analyzing the appropriate utilization of healthcare services, and guiding practice and operations with applicable regulations or standards. They will also provide oversight for planned and unannounced surveys, facilitate the development and monitoring of action plans for noncompliant findings, and advance a continuous readiness culture. In addition, they will apply knowledge of ongoing professional practice evaluation, focused professional practice evaluation, and requisite structures and processes, communicate accountability and reporting requirements, and manage performance improvement opportunities.
