Caseload: Middle School Students

We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist to join a reputable school district in San Marcos, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' communication needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students in both individual and small group settings.
  • Track and document student progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with educators and school personnel to incorporate speech and language objectives into classroom activities.
  • Guide and support parents and guardians on effective strategies to enhance their child's communication skills.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist in the formulation of educational strategies.
  • Remain informed about the latest best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience in a school environment or with children is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and adeptness in managing a varied caseload.
