Job Summary

Altair is seeking a Diagnostic Software Validation Engineer to join our team in Troy, MI. This is a contract position that requires developing test specifications, executing component and subsystem diagnostic testing for all ECUs of the vehicle electrical architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop test specifications and execute component and subsystem diagnostic testing for all ECUs of the vehicle electrical architectures.
  • Work closely with the Software Team, Electrical Team, and Propulsion Team to validate the subsystem and component level diagnostics on different test properties.
  • Generate test cases and analyze results to ensure program requirements are met.
  • Develop Diagnostic Validation test cases for the subsystem and component level for each module (ECU's) across vehicle architecture.
  • Collaborate with Software, Electrical, and Propulsion teams to develop DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, and test properties validation plans.
  • Analyze and visualize large data sets from various data sources to understand the use cases and validation criteria.
  • Technical communication of analysis results and tradeoffs.
  • Root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and escalation of risks to keep software development process on track.
  • Identify opportunities for automation. Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile Software development processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Computer Software, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in using systems modeling platforms for test development, test automation, test requirements development, execution and reporting.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems.
  • Excellent communication, team building, and relationship building skills.
