Hardware In The Loop Engineer

Job Summary:
Altair is seeking a skilled Hardware in the Loop (HiL) Engineer to support product development and system integration processes. This contract position requires close collaboration with feature owners, engineering, and suppliers to develop a strong understanding of vehicle functions and implement appropriate test design strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test methods for automated execution and implement tests using HiL equipment.
- Document and review execution reports, report incidents, and track software updates to fix issues.
- Develop expertise in software test design and have advanced knowledge in vehicle functional partitioning, electrical and communication architectures, and embedded software processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience testing Global diagnostics part-1 or part-2 specification experience.
- 2 years of experience in validation support of dSPACE or NI HIL simulators hardware.
- 2 years of experience in dSPACE control and automation desk software.
- 2 years of experience in test automation and scripting development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience in development and execution of functional test procedures within a software or vehicle testing organization.
- Experience in bench testing of distributed electrical systems, including bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation, incident reporting, and root cause analysis.
