Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of one year of relevant experience. This role requires substantial public interaction and demands exceptional customer service abilities along with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in interpersonal relations, computer applications, and familiarity with legal terminology is essential. Candidates should be adept in data entry and word processing, with a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute. A college degree is preferred.

General Experience

Experience in progressively responsible clerical or office roles that demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills for this position is required. This experience should encompass tasks such as filing, record management, typing, and effective telephone communication.

Educational Substitution: A college education may substitute for general experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Court Operations: Understanding of or the capacity to learn about court operations, functions, and organizational structure. Basic knowledge of court documents such as orders, bonds, and judgments is beneficial. Proficiency in utilizing the court's automated case management system for financial duties is expected.

Information Technology and Automation: Familiarity with automated systems including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as financial and accounting software. The candidate should be capable of using various web-based applications while ensuring the privacy and security of judicial information.

Judgment and Ethics: A consistent demonstration of sound ethics and judgment is crucial, alongside the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees.

Written and Oral Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with individuals and groups, providing financial information and reports in a clear manner. The ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders while delivering outstanding customer service and resolving issues in compliance with regulations is essential.

Miscellaneous

*Starting salary for this position for non-Federal employees: $37,173 – $46,494 based on qualifications and experience.*
