Positions in this area are responsible for the preparation, processing, and maintenance of member or group enrollments. You will handle incoming calls from customers (members, providers, groups), offering expertise and support while exemplifying superior customer service skills across all communication channels. Responsibilities may include entering member or group data into the enrollment database and updating it with any changes. You will also address member eligibility inquiries and verify enrollment statuses, serving as the primary contact for group customers regarding enrollment-related matters.

This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday. Employees must be flexible to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during standard business hours. Occasionally, overtime may be required based on business needs.

We provide 4 to 5 weeks of comprehensive training, conducted virtually from your home. Training hours will be from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for all enrollment tasks for your assigned book of business, ensuring customer satisfaction through superior service and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Respond to calls from members, providers, and group customers, meeting department expectations for call handling and delivering friendly service.
  • Follow established protocols to maintain enrollment data in relevant systems based on customer requests and internal reports; seek guidance for non-standard inquiries.
  • Post-training, meet or exceed departmental productivity, quality, and turnaround standards while tracking your work.
  • Take ownership of your workload, adhering to established procedures, while occasionally seeking guidance from supervisors.
  • Manage and prioritize your daily workload to meet customer demands, with possible assistance from superiors.
  • Interpret and communicate eligibility requirements in accordance with plan guidelines.
  • Employ advanced follow-up skills with internal and external parties to ensure customer expectations are met and member data is accurately maintained.
  • Review and analyze error reports, correcting enrollment systems based on findings.
  • Address customer inquiries related to enrollment and eligibility through various communication channels, documenting details in the appropriate systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in an office setting
  • Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to adhere to an 8-hour work shift schedule during standard business hours, with flexibility for occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in enrollment or eligibility for employer-sponsored benefits
  • 1+ years of experience in the health insurance sector

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to connect to the network with a reliable high-speed internet service provider

Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is competitive and based on various factors including local labor markets, education, and experience.
