Admissions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Admissions Specialist to join our Enrollment Management team at Dallas College. As an Admissions Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our admissions process, providing exceptional customer service to students, and contributing to the overall success of our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Admissions Processing: Verify eligibility for admission into Dallas College, process admissions applications, and maintain accurate records.
- Student Support: Provide guidance to students on the admissions process, answer questions, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Record Maintenance: Properly code and maintain applicant and student data, digitize supporting documents, and update the college's Student Information System.
- Residency Verification: Verify residency status in accordance with county, state, and federal law requirements.
- Communication: Provide general information to students regarding admissions and enrollment, residency, Texas Success Initiative, English as a Second Language programs, international students, and general student services.
- Withdrawal Processing: Process student, faculty, and administrative initiated course withdrawals, review and code withdrawal actions in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control functions for records, reviewing and analyzing outputs, correcting and updating related data fields in the college's Student Information System.
- Enrollment Verification: Support enrollment verification processes for student loan companies, employment screening agencies, and military branches.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the entire College community to support admissions and enrollment efforts.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication between students and faculty within the College and external community stakeholders.
- Follow-up: Ensure timely follow-up with applicants as they move through the enrollment process.
- Technology Utilization: Utilize technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports and communicate with others.
- Regulatory Compliance: Interpret, articulate, and implement regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to Admissions to ensure compliance with Dallas College, state, and federal requirements.
- Presentation and Training: Support presentations and workshops promoting Admissions and Enrollment policies and procedures to Dallas College faculty, staff, and community organizations.
- Professional Development: Complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
