Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,000, based on a 35-hour workweek and a range of benefits that include paid time off, employer-paid life insurance, and comprehensive medical plans with employer cost-sharing. The salary is subject to change based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

As a Lead Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for providing intensive case management services to individuals seeking assistance at our Emergency Triage Center in Worcester. Your primary goal will be to help clients develop an Individual Self-Sufficiency Plan, with a focus on enhanced self-sufficiency and a stable housing outcome.

You will complete all required paperwork and gather necessary documentation to ensure accurate emergency housing and service needs assessments. You will also serve as an organizational liaison to other social service providers, SMOC housing staff, and municipal officials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing initial program orientation to clients to assist them in transitioning to enhanced self-sufficiency and more independent housing.
  • Upholding confidentiality, setting limits, and monitoring adherence to program rules and regulations, including the good neighbor policy.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case notes and updated service plans.
  • Assisting individuals in arranging appointments and transportation, as needed.
  • Providing transportation as needed.
  • Engaging all clients by understanding and addressing their needs, whether within or outside the scope of work.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of three years of experience in Human Services or a related field.
  • CADAC certification is preferred.
  • Sensitivity to low-income individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • The ability to work well as a member of a dynamic team.
  • Assessment, advocacy, and case management skills.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid Massachusetts driver's license, and the ability to meet insurance requirements.

Additional Information
