Job Summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a per diem position. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients who have impaired abilities to cope with daily tasks due to developmental deficiencies, aging, medical concerns, or psychological and social disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy evaluation, consultation, and skilled treatment for patients.
  • Document activities and instruct patients, family, and students.
  • Participate in continuing education, departmental and community activities, outreach education, and role of preceptor to students.
  • Administer basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations in the area of Occupational Therapy.
  • Teach and supervise graduate Occupational Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents.
  • Analyze results of diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and modify subsequent treatment programs.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • No prior experience required.
Work Environment

This per diem position offers a flexible schedule with consistent 16-24 hours per week. The emphasis is on acute care needs with some potential flexibility to outpatient services if able and willing.
