Behavioral Health Clinic Receptionist

The Behavioral Health Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role is responsible for scheduling appointments, managing client intake processes, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcomes clients and visitors, responding to inquiries and referring questions to other staff members as needed.
- Schedules appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and effective use of clinician's time.
- Scans client documentation into electronic health records, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Maintains a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Assists clients with insurance papers and billing questions, providing clear and concise information.
- Opens and sorts office mail, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Participates in behavioral health emergency procedures, summoning assistance as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Experience working as a receptionist or administrative assistant preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and electronic health records systems.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime pay. The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check and obtain an Alaska driver's license or ID card within 30 days of hire.
