The Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences at Quinnipiac University seeks highly qualified applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching for a one-semester visiting faculty position for the Spring 2025 semester.
This is a full-time, non-benefits-eligible position.

About Quinnipiac:
Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. The university currently has an enrollment of 9,000 students in more than 130 degree programs.
Responsibilities:
- Teach on-ground introductory physics courses, including PHY101 (Elements of Physics) and PHY111 (General Physics II).
- Prepare and deliver lectures and engaging class activities.
- Compile, administer, and grade assignments/examinations.
- Hold a minimum of 4 regularly scheduled office hours each week.
- Manage courses and grades through Blackboard.
Education Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Physics (or closely related field) is required at time of appointment to be hired at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. Candidates with a master's degree in Physics (or closely related field) are eligible to be hired at the rank of Visiting Instructor.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate level.
- Experience in the use of instructional technologies, especially Blackboard.
- Commitment and ability to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community, the department, and the College of Arts & Sciences.
