Job Overview

As a Pharmacy Technician at Actalent, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients. Your responsibilities will include filling and compounding medications, communicating with nursing staff to confirm dosages, and labeling prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in a long-term care pharmacy, servicing nursing homes, assisted living, and group homes. You will work in a casual environment and must be able to stand for long periods. Shifts rotate weekly, with a mix of day and evening shifts, including weekends every third weekend.

Responsibilities
  • Filling and compounding medications, including ointments
  • Communicating with nursing staff to confirm dosages and fill prescriptions
  • Labeling prescriptions and following pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Working in either the daily fill or cycle fill departments
