Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our production facility in Des Moines (Ankeny), IA.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing value-added components on loose engines and generators to meet customer requirements and design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install value-added components on loose engines and generators
  • Perform light production assembly, including drilling, bolting, and light fabrication
  • Interpret basic installation drawings and work as part of a team to accomplish installations
  • Ability to read detailed equipment and part diagrams/prints, including 2D and 3D drawings
  • General shop maintenance, including inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines, and daily JSA reports
  • Comfortable working at heights using fall protection and proper PPE

Requirements:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience
  • Ability to work in an automotive shop/manufacturing setting and use power tools to remove/install external diesel engine and generator components
  • Mechanical knowledge and automotive repair and assembly experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented, excellent time management skills, and intermediate level computer skills
  • Ability to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment
