Job Overview

The AOG Aircraft Maintenance Specialist collaborates closely with the Site Manager to provide support for AOG and scheduled aircraft at various locations. This role entails executing all assigned maintenance tasks while adhering to the highest quality standards. Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and clients is essential. This position requires regular travel, including overnight stays, and flexible availability for on-call duties, including nights and weekends. Compensation is hourly with overtime pay negotiable based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

The AOG Aircraft Maintenance Specialist is expected to:

  • Report daily to the Site Manager.
  • Complete assigned tasks following the procedures outlined in the company’s Air Carrier Operations Manual.
  • Coordinate with the Site Manager to ensure safe and efficient repairs and return to service of AOG and scheduled aircraft.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate technical data during maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas and vehicles.
  • Adhere to airport, TSA, and DOT regulations for vehicle operation.
  • Document all maintenance and alterations as required by regulations and company standards.
  • Submit all necessary work orders, reports, and records to the Site Manager promptly.
  • Foster strong relationships with managers, peers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate actively in the company’s safety and quality management programs.
  • Be available for unscheduled on-call maintenance events at all times.
  • Travel to remote locations for AOG maintenance, including overnight stays.
  • Accurately document all maintenance performed in the maintenance records database.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A strong passion for aviation.
  • A minimum of five years of AOG experience; experience in a Part 145 Repair Station is a plus.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent time management and logistical skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Availability for on-call and after-hours support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid A&P License, Driver's License, and Passport.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized with multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software).
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  • Possession of basic hand tools and toolbox.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Citation CE-560, XL, XLS, CE-680, and CE-750.
  • Familiarity with Bombardier Global and Challenger series.
  • Experience with Gulfstream models GIV, G450, GV, G550, and G650.
  • Knowledge of Dassault DA2000 and DA900.
  • Experience with Embraer EMB 100/500 and Legacy 135.

Other Information:

This position is classified as a DOT Safety Sensitive role, requiring participation in a random drug testing program.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $55.00/hour, depending on experience.
