Job Overview

The AOG Aircraft Maintenance Specialist collaborates closely with the Site Manager to ensure that both AOG and scheduled aircraft receive the necessary support at the designated location and in the field. This role entails executing all assigned maintenance tasks while adhering to the highest quality standards. It is essential to foster a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet's staff, vendors, and clients. The position requires regular travel, including overnight stays, and demands flexible availability for on-call duties, which may include nights and weekends. Compensation is hourly and negotiable based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

The AOG Aircraft Maintenance Specialist is expected to:

  • Report daily to the Site Manager.
  • Execute tasks as per the procedures outlined in ACI Jet's Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
  • Coordinate with the Site Manager to ensure safe and efficient repairs and return of AOG and scheduled aircraft to service.
  • Comply with all applicable FARs, Operations Specifications, Company Policies, and Procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate technical data during maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in shop premises, AOG vehicles, and work areas.
  • Adhere to airport, TSA, and DOT regulations for operating a motor vehicle.
  • Ensure all maintenance or alteration processes are thoroughly completed and documented as required.
  • Timely submit all necessary work orders, reports, receipts, and other company documentation to the Site Manager.
  • Maintain a strong, productive relationship with ACI Jet managers, peers, and other stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in ACI Jet's Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS) program to ensure safety and quality in all tasks.
  • Be available for unscheduled on-call maintenance events 24/7, including holidays.
  • Travel to remote locations for unscheduled AOG maintenance, requiring overnight lodging.
  • Accurately document all maintenance performed in the maintenance records database.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A strong passion for aviation.
  • A minimum of five years of AOG experience; experience in a Part 145 Repair Station is advantageous.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, utilizing specialized tools, and working with aircraft maintenance manuals and technical reports.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and logistical skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Availability for on-call and after-hours support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid A&P License, Driver's License, and Passport.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software).
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  • Possession of basic hand tools and toolbox.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Citation CE-560, XL, XLS, CE-680, and CE-750.
  • Familiarity with Bombardier Global, Challenger 300 and 600-Series.
  • Knowledge of Gulfstream GIV, G450, GV, G550, and G650.
  • Experience with Dassault DA2000 and DA900.
  • Familiarity with Embraer EMB 100/500 and Legacy 135.

Other Information:

This position is classified as a DOT Safety Sensitive role, necessitating participation in a random drug testing program.

Compensation

Hourly rate of $55.00, commensurate with experience.
