Position Overview:

The Maintenance Operations Leader at Solairus Aviation will oversee all facets of maintenance activities conducted on designated aircraft, ensuring adherence to company protocols and regulatory airworthiness standards. Key responsibilities encompass routine maintenance oversight, strategic planning, scheduling, and the execution of maintenance tasks, alongside fiscal accountability for maintenance-related expenditures. This role reports directly to the Director of Maintenance and/or the Client Aviation Manager (CAM).

Core Responsibilities:
  • Possess a valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Direct all maintenance operations for assigned aircraft, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance and/or CAM to identify maintenance training needs.
  • Prepare a comprehensive budget forecasting financial obligations related to aircraft maintenance, including parts, labor, tools, and facilities.
  • Authorize and supervise expenditures associated with assigned aircraft.
  • Engage in the Safety Management Systems and undertake any responsibilities assigned by the Director of Maintenance or Manager of Maintenance Operations.
  • Manage maintenance personnel, ensuring quality and thoroughness of all maintenance tasks performed.
  • Coordinate with external personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) involved in maintenance on company aircraft.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and component changes, ensuring compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins.
  • Remove any aircraft deemed unsafe or non-compliant from service, ensuring airworthiness for those returned to operation.
  • Strive for optimal operational readiness of aircraft with minimal disruption to schedules.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and the FAA regarding maintenance policies.
  • Ensure compliance with certification and technical recency requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits of tool calibration and material control, ensuring availability of necessary tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid A&P Certificate.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Corporate Aircraft Maintenance Operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the CFRs and aircraft maintenance standards.
  • Skilled in planning, executing, and managing maintenance programs for operated aircraft.
  • A highly motivated individual dedicated to Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Operational Excellence.
  • Must remain fit for duty and refrain from substance abuse.
Specific Qualifications/Certifications:
  • Recent experience with G450 aircraft (within the last 24 months).
  • Willingness to relocate within a reasonable distance to the operational base.
