Position Summary:

SPM Oil & Gas is seeking a Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician I will be responsible for delivering, installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing pressure control equipment at customer sites. This entry-level role involves routine tasks that are closely monitored.

Compensation:
Pay begins at $22.00, subject to adjustment based on experience.

Company Vehicles:
Service trucks will be allocated to employees based on qualifications and operational requirements.

Work Schedule:
The standard work week is typically Monday through Friday, with rotating on-call shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional engineering solutions and customer service through our products.
  • Uphold the core values of SPM Oil and Gas consistently.
  • Adhere to all written policies and procedures safely and seek guidance from management when necessary.
  • Promote a strong safety culture at all times.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity in all actions.
  • Exhibit reliability, accountability, and a solid work ethic.
  • Participate in the preparation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) at job sites, ensuring safe practices in line with SPM Oil and Gas SHE policies.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change as needed.
  • Assist senior Field Service Technicians with the safe installation, removal, repair, and servicing of equipment on drilling rigs or well sites.
  • Strive to provide superior service to all customers.
  • Maintain company assets and equipment according to policy.
  • Learn to prepare accurate field service and sales orders.
  • Represent SPM Oil and Gas positively in field service and sales activities.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Assist in pre-checking all equipment and processes before job commencement to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Be available for 24-hour on-call service to meet customer needs.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • Operate a company-issued vehicle as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • One to three months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be authorized to operate a company vehicle.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Clean driving record, typically defined as:
    • No more than two moving violations within the last 12 months.
    • No more than three moving violations in the past three years.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment:
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Moderate to occasionally severe noise levels.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
