Job Summary

A Credit Products Officer at BankUnited specializes in Corporate C&I loan requests, responsible for preparing complete and accurate credit analyses in a timely manner that meets or exceeds internal business partners' needs, customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and leading industry practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-screening Activities (10% of time): Determine Risk Ratings, prepare spreads in Moody's Risk Origins (C&I) to aid Relationship Manager and Line Management.
  • Underwriting Activities (40% of time): Determine financial information requirements, assist in preparation of the Pre-Approval Memorandum, determine due diligence requirements, perform borrower and guarantor financial analysis, review and analyze all 3rd party reports, identify and mitigate risks, collaborate in credit structuring, complete Credit Approval Memorandum, and deliver the Approval Package.
  • Approval Activities (10% of time): Deliver approval package to Credit and document approvals.
  • Post-approval Activities (5% of time): Finalize credit approval package, review loan documentation, organize credit files, and prepare Post-Approval Modification Memo.
  • Portfolio Management Activities (30% of time): Manage financial ticker items, perform property inspections, process draw requests and extensions, conduct ongoing credit assessments/reviews, manage risk ratings, conduct research, identify cross-sale opportunities, underwrite ACH exposure, manage credit files, and perform ongoing portfolio reviews.
  • Underwriting/Portfolio Management Practice Development (5% of time): Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business-related field or other acceptable alternative field required.
  • 7-9 Years of credit experience required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Good accounting skills developed through formal college undergraduate courses or acceptable alternative means.
