Job Description:

At Regions Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Credit Products Diversified Industries Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Credit Products group, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating risks in existing and proposed credit products.

As a Credit Products Diversified Industries Associate, you will work closely with our Credit Products Diversified Industries Managers to analyze new commercial credit opportunities, underwrite new or renewed credit exposure, and manage a portfolio of loans and other credit relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare credit approval packages on new and renewed credit products, including determination of the appropriate risk rating and analysis of financial performance.
  • Analyze guarantors as needed to support credit underwriting.
  • Assist Credit Products Diversified Industries Managers with the review of pre-closing loan documents and closing due diligence.
  • Manage financial reporting requirements, covenant requirements, past dues, and documentation exceptions.
  • Ensure credit files are complete with all up-to-date information.
  • Provide tickler implementation and maintenance.
  • Monitor portfolio and servicing activities in conjunction with Credit Products support.
  • Validate the appropriate risk rating for a company and proactively identify risk rating changes.
  • Identify opportunities for exposure reduction or new opportunities within assigned portfolio.
  • Participate in research, preparation, and execution of customer and prospect calls.
  • Participate in identifying financial solutions that meet the client's needs and the Bank's risk acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure compliance with internal bank commercial loan policy, credit risk management policy, and external regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Two (2) years underwriting experience or financial services analysis and accounting experience.
  • Completion of a major corporate credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least three years of lending experience to corporate clients (such as underwriting and portfolio management).
