Job Overview

At Opportunity Partners, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional - Residential Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Client Independence
    • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, household chores, and personal care
    • Encourage and support clients in developing independent living skills
  • Provide Medical and Health Support
    • Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with medication administration
    • Monitor and report any changes in client health or well-being
  • Facilitate Community Involvement
    • Support clients in participating in recreational activities and hobbies
    • Encourage social interactions and community engagement
  • Collaborate with Team Members
    • Work closely with other support staff to ensure seamless care and support
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to client care planning
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Previous experience in disability support or a related field preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
