Direct Support Specialist

Are you passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in their lives? Pinnacle Services is seeking dedicated and caring individuals to join our team as Direct Support Specialists.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and behavioral issues in a residential setting. Your role will involve providing support and encouragement to help them achieve their goals and gain life skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal planning and preparation, personal care, and medication administration.
  • Facilitate community activities and outings, using company vehicles as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each person served.
  • Provide behavioral support and management, using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to create and manage schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and support for all individuals.
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience working as a Direct Support Professional or equivalent role.
  • Passion for helping others and a willingness to assist individuals with varying needs.
  • Must be 18 years or older and successfully clear a background check.
  • Current driver's license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
