About the Role

As a Patient Account Registrar at Encino Hospital Medical Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our admissions process. Your primary responsibility will be to interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information, secure insurance details, and verify eligibility and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information
  • Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as applicable
  • Work closely with the Admitting department, including PBX operator functions and reception areas
  • Operate a computer to input and retrieve data
  • Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, utilizing age-specific techniques
  • Maintain proficiency in medical terminology
Requirements
  • Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service experience is required
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent is required
What We Offer

Encino Hospital Medical Center offers a competitive compensation package, including a reasonable compensation estimate of $20.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of hire, considering factors such as skillset, years of experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
