Job Overview

Spectrum is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join our team. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals. A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new customers and sell bundled services to new customers
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory
  • Generate all sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale
  • Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, and billing forms
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model
  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets
