Senior Electronics Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Schneider Electric. This role involves leading the design and development of innovative electronics solutions for circuit breakers.

About the Role:

  • Design and Development: You will be responsible for designing and developing electronic trip units for MCCB and ACB Circuit Breakers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as UL, IEC, ANSI, and CCC.
  • Project Leadership: You will lead engineering project teams and support functions to develop new offers or evolve existing ones.
  • Testing and Quality: You will oversee the creation of verification and validation test plans, interpret test results, and ensure product compliance.
  • Collaboration: You will work with cross-functional peers, including firmware and systems engineering teams, to achieve project goals.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to North America GSC Manufacturing Plants may be required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in electronics HW product development.
  • Skills: Knowledge of first principles of Physics and Engineering Practice, Design for Manufacturability, and Design for Assembly techniques.
  • Certifications: Familiarity with AGILE Methodology and Product Testing and Evaluation Methods (UL/ CSA/ NOM/ IEC/ CCC/ ANSI).
  • Language: English is the primary language used in this role.
