Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III Job Summary

The County of San Mateo, CA is seeking a highly skilled Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to promote affordable housing and community development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage programs to promote affordable housing and community development
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify and address housing needs
  • Manage contracts and grants related to housing and community development
  • Conduct financial analysis and budgeting for housing projects
  • Prepare and review project development budgets, financing plans, and operating pro formas
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as urban planning, public administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in housing and community development, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
