About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team at Everon LLC. As a key member of our fire safety team, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, and other fire safety product lines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine tests and inspections of fire alarm systems, fire safety systems, fire sprinkler systems, and other fire safety product lines according to prescribed processes.
  • Verify proper operation and prepare accurate and timely documentation of work performed.
  • Prepare inspection/deficiency reports for submission to management.
  • Interface with service management to ensure that all work is scheduled/handled.
  • Interact with customers to explain work performed and answer their questions.
  • Resolve customer concerns as quickly and effectively as possible.
  • Maintain and organize truck inventory (parts and tools) to ensure proper response to customers' needs.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Show a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School or vocational training.
  • Experience inspecting fire alarm products, wet and dry fire sprinkler systems, or industry-related experience.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers.
  • Familiarity with fire sprinkler and fire alarm system preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, and procedures presented in English.

Certifications/Licenses

  • NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems and NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems within one year.
  • Licenses and certifications required by state and/or local codes.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear.
  • Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with 'on call availability' and must be able to travel on short notice.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.

Compensation

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
