Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

About the Role

The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for testing, repairing, and inspecting fire detection systems to ensure exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems on a scheduled basis
  • Complete all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies and procedures
  • Schedule inspections with customers as required
  • Provide documentation of inspections for Company records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity required
  • Communicate discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the Company and the customer
  • Follow up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performed
  • Market EFI services to existing and potential customers
  • Train Technician Trainees as assigned
  • Commit to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtime
  • Complete continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for position
Requirements
  • Must be EST 3 or 4 certified
  • Education, experience, and certification as specified in the job description (or equivalent combination)
  • Practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Positive and professional demeanor with the ability to handle change, resolve conflict, and solve problems as they arise with minimal direction
  • Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds, work from heights above 10 feet, and work in confined areas
