Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for our diverse portfolio of clients efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage payroll for various clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions.
  • Verify timesheets and attendance records, calculating wages and withholding taxes as required.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from clients and employees promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients.
  • Ensure that all payroll updates, such as new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates, are accurately entered into the payroll system.
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end tax documents, including W-2s and 1099s.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll processing.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Administrator.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and mathematical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
