Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technician II to join our team at LADGOV CORPORATION. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of patient care and support equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and electrical safety inspections on a wide range of medical equipment to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Manage and schedule service for all assigned equipment, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Conduct pre-acceptance inspections and develop maintenance procedures for new equipment, maintaining accurate records and manuals.
  • Verify the functionality and calibration of test equipment, ensuring it is working properly and within established intervals.
  • Respond promptly to calls from clinical departments to evaluate and resolve valid operator complaints and concerns.
  • Research and initiate orders for repair parts, working within established budget parameters.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and validate invoices for payment.
  • Provide informal training to equipment users and Crothall Services Group staff as requested or when necessary.
  • Make recommendations to the Department Manager regarding service strategies on equipment, keeping the supervisor informed of activities, needs, and problems.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement/Risk Management program by gaining an understanding of customer issues and concerns, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide emergency on-call responsibilities as needed.
  • Document all significant asset-related actions in compliance with department practices.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology, military training, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment.
  • Valid driver's license required for field service positions.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications for tracking service histories and producing reports on assets.
  • Good trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability and willingness to serve on-call duty as required.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as a member of a team.
