  • Evaluate and Diagnose Equipment Issues: Conduct thorough assessments of biomedical equipment to identify and diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues.
  • Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Communicate with Customers: Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide timely updates on repair status.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise to achieve common goals.
  • Document and Report: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions, and submit reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent military education; or participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; or High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
