About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate EMT Ground Transport to join our team at St. Vincent Healthcare. As a EMT Ground Transport, you will play a critical role in providing safe and efficient transportation of patients between hospital and receiving facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and understand normal ranges and changes.
  • Work with EMT or Paramedic partner to provide safe transport of patients.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ambulance and equipment to ensure readiness for patient care.
  • Establish and maintain effective radio communication with HELP Flight dispatch and other agencies.
  • Initiate department standing orders in appropriate patients and perform basic airway techniques, including oxygen therapy.
  • Participate in HELP Flight Safety committee and ensure safe movement of patients.
  • Complete initial assessments of patients and document in the EMR.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Basic EMT training program or Paramedic Training in the state of practice.
  • Preferred: Emergency Vehicle Operator Course or equivalent, current Montana and National Registry EMT certification, AHA Basic Life Support Certification, and valid United States Driver's License.
