Job Summary:

As a Customer Care Specialist at SCL Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care services, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service through all daily interactions with external and internal departmental contacts
Receive and prioritize incoming requests for notices of material transport, medical/surgical supplies, and patient care equipment
Dispatch personnel and/or volunteer staff to fulfill transport and supply requests in accordance with departmental response service standards
Issue and credit supply items on the Lawson system in a timely manner
Coordinate and fill routine supply orders for ancillary departments
Answer phones and receive requests via the fax machine, call downs, walk-ins, tube system, and/or computer
Resolve customer issues, relating to order discrepancies, distribution of inventory/equipment, accurately enter computer data, and initiate, compile, and maintain necessary records and reports

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is required
Associates degree and/or continuing education is preferred
One (1) year in a customer care related role preferable in a healthcare supply chain environment including knowledge of patient related supplies, materials, equipment, and computer skills is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing
Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands
See and read computer monitors and documents
Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment
May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling, and reaching
