Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Research

GAP Solutions, Inc. (GAPSI) is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to support the Division of Intramural Research for the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS)/National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide clinical research support, including obtaining informed consent, screening subjects, and collecting clinical and research biospecimens. The Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for tracking protocol-related study data, monitoring and documenting subjects' response to therapy, and contributing to the analysis of study data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain informed consent and maintain documentation for adult and pediatric dermatology subjects on research protocols
  • Screen subjects for entry onto research protocols and determine eligibility based on thorough interviews and review of medical records
  • Collect clinical and research biospecimens using invasive and non-invasive procedures, following standardized protocols
  • Track protocol-related study data, including physical exams, medical histories, current medications, adverse events, and laboratory results
  • Monitor and document subjects' response to therapy and communicate findings to appropriate personnel
  • Contribute to the analysis of study data and participate in the publishing of findings
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing Education or a related discipline
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the healthcare professional education field
  • Current certification in BLS required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize complex tasks
