Diesel Engineer Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Shop Technician to join our team at National Fleet Management Inc. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic to work on a variety of trucks and equipment, utilizing their expertise in diagnostic software and hands-on repair techniques.
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and maintenance tools. They will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate tasks required from customers and work orders to develop effective work plans
- Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results to offer suitable solutions
- Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
- Repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
- Conduct field visits in case of emergency or sudden breakdown
- Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance
- Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using mechanical and electrical power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver's license
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $72,000 - $125,000 per year (A/B level technicians)
