Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician A 3rd shift to join our team at Performance Foodservice. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our company fleet diesel equipment, ensuring safe operations and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, convertor dollies, and maintenance vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical systems.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers, brake systems, and other important components.
  • Ensure equipment is properly licensed and registered before it's deemed roadworthy.
  • Document all work through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration &/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions.
