Job Title: Technical Writing Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writing Project Manager to join our team at Shea Writing and Training Solutions. As a Technical Writing Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of documentation projects, ensuring high-quality technical content is produced on schedule and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, plan, and manage technical writing projects from conception to delivery.
  • Collaborate with client teams to understand documentation requirements.
  • Oversee a team of technical writers and editors, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to style guides.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure technical documentation is user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
  • Manage resources, set priorities, and resolve issues as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct reviews and revisions of technical content to maintain high standards.
  • Communicate project status and updates with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to optimize documentation workflows.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in technical writing and documentation.
  • Skills:
    • Proven leadership and team management skills.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Ability to manage budgets and project timelines effectively.
