Job Title: Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, seeks a skilled Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator to support its substance abuse prevention and workers' compensation programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation and substance abuse prevention, with excellent communication and organizational skills.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate substance abuse testing, policy administration, compliance, and reporting
  • Assist in the administration of the second chance program, random program, pre-employment, and reasonable suspicion drug test issues
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with the Medical Review Officer (MRO)
  • Accurately report and maintain timely record keeping of results in multiple databases to complete compliance requirements
  • Prioritize tasks, demonstrate sense of urgency to resolve issues, and guarantee responsiveness to situations as they arise
  • Assist in the intake and processing of workers' compensation claims to resolution
  • Direct first-aid treatment and/or facility care
  • Analyze workers' compensation claims and prepare claim summaries
  • Coordinate medical surveillance scheduling, tracking, and follow-up
  • Monitor and administer claims, generate reports, and communicate with team members, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel, and lawyers
  • Provide recommendations for medical facilities for each new project
  • Advise management of drug testing issues and on workers' compensation claim status


Requirements:


  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Five years' experience in workers' compensation/drug testing industry, as well as familiarity with medical terminology, preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure, confidentiality, and professionalism, even when challenged
  • Must be able to multi-task while performing the above duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to interact with a range of individuals, such as team members, managers, medical professionals, lawyers, etc.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures, preferred but not required
