We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Endovascular Imaging Specialist to join our Cardiology Division.

Role Overview:
The Endovascular Imaging Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during various procedures within the lab. This position involves participating in performance improvement initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of quality in our Endovascular Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage professionally with patients and their families, ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Provide comprehensive education to patients and families before and after procedures.
  • Deliver patient care in a safe environment, minimizing the risk of medical errors.
  • Effectively manage emergency situations during high-risk procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret data and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
  • Set up and execute technical imaging procedures, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for various studies.
  • Support physicians in interventional procedures, including the instillation of enzymes and the insertion of balloons to clear blockages.
  • Maintain proficiency in sterile techniques and the preparation of medical devices.
  • Document all relevant patient information and technical factors accurately throughout procedures.
  • Ensure the safety of patients by adhering to protocols that minimize hazards associated with medical equipment.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and ensure that procedure rooms are adequately stocked.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel as needed to various clinics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to safeguarding patient information.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in an Endovascular lab setting.
  • Graduation from an accredited ARRT training program.
  • Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in the State of Arizona.
  • Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications.
