Position SummaryThis role is responsible for conducting diagnostic computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures to deliver consistently high-quality imaging results, adhering to all relevant standards, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of the Radiology Manager, with no supervisory responsibilities over other staff.
- Assist in the training of imaging students as required and provide safety lectures regarding CT procedures to hospital personnel.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise by continuously seeking knowledge and staying updated on current literature, practices, and advancements in diagnostic imaging.
- Engage in the evaluation and development of new imaging protocols and quality improvement initiatives, actively assessing practices to enhance effectiveness.
- Perform diagnostic CT scanning procedures, determining optimal techniques and positioning to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Complete finalization tasks, including limited coding using the radiology information system (RIS) to ensure accurate patient information and billing.
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance and calibration, identifying and troubleshooting any malfunctions to ensure safe operations.
- Provide comprehensive CT safety information to patients and their families to ensure a clear understanding of procedural protocols.
- Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned.
