Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Kinetic Search Strategies LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and preparing HVAC and HVAC controls engineering documents for large-scale commercial project environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and prepare HVAC and HVAC controls engineering documents for large-scale commercial project environments
  • Collaborate with team members to identify energy-saving options and modify designs as needed
  • Work on complex projects by creating sequence of operations, researching and selecting hardware, reviewing construction drawings/specs, etc.
  • Enjoy professional development and ongoing training, as well as the opportunity to work for an ESOP company
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience designing and preparing HVAC or HVAC controls engineering documents for large-scale commercial project environments
  • Excellent AutoCAD software design skills and overall knowledge of facility mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems
  • Control system product line knowledge strongly desired (Alerton, Distech, ALC, Johnson Controls, Siemens, etc.)
  • Mechanical aptitude and controls systems knowledge, including ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Windows, File Structure, AutoCAD, VISIO, and basic TCP/IP network structure and web navigation
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with Project Managers and fellow engineers on plans, specifications, proposals, and to support the design build process
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Construction, or related technical field or equivalent work experience
